Publications and Boards

Pierre-Yves Gunter published in “Revue de l’Arbitrage 2024 N°1” an article on the extension of the arbitration clause to non-signatories under Swiss arbitration law and co-authored with Sabrine Schnyder and Vincent Koning a review of the arbitration case law of the Swiss Supreme Court which was published in “Les Cahiers de l’Arbitrage/the Paris Journal of International Arbitration 2023/4”. Pierre-Yves Gunter and Anya Marinkovich co-authored an article “Expedited Arbitration as an alternative to Dispute Boards for International Construction Projects” in the book “Hospitality & Construction Disputes Post-Covid” edited by Steven Shapiro, Shaheeza Lalani & Derek Heath at the American University Washington College of Law. Pierre-Yves Gunter is acting as co-editor with John Pierce, Partner of Latham & Watkins, of the second edition of the GAR Guide on IP Arbitration.

Pierre-Yves Gunter and Anya Marinkovich contributed the chapter “Expedited Arbitration as an Alternative to Dispute Boards for International Construction Projects: "Analyzing the Dispute Resolution Methods Best Suited for Real-Time Conflict Prevention and Resolution" to Hospitality and Construction Disputes Post-Covid (eds: Shaheeza Lalani, Steven Shapiro, and Derek Heath), published in November 2023 by Brill/Nijhoff. The book is the sixth volume in the series on International and Comparative Business Law and Public Policy put together by the University of Lausanne. A book launch will take place on 7 February 2024 at 6:30pm at the Cosmos Club in Washington D.C.

Pierre-Yves Gunter published a note in the December 2023 edition of the Newsletter of the Lagos Court of Arbitration on “A need for Improvement and Innovative Practices in International Arbitration”.

Summer 2023, Pierre-Yves Gunter's mandate as Board Member of the Swiss Arbitration Center was renewed. 

January 2023, Anya Marinkovich was re-appointed for a second three-year term on the Board of the International Centre for Dispute Resolution’s Young & International group. During the past term, she co-organized a series of webinars on international construction arbitration for young practitioners, as well as the Swiss Chalet Debate! conference series. She looks forward to continuing these programs and contributing to ICDR Y&I’s global outreach over the next three years.
