Luis Serrano is a dual Paraguayan-Spanish attorney with five years of experience in commercial and investment arbitration, as well as in civil litigation. He has worked as counsel and as an assistant to arbitral tribunals under various institutional arbitration rules across various industry fields. He is a member of the Paraguayan Bar.
Luis Serrano has been actively involved in international arbitration since 2019. He has participated in commercial and investment arbitrations under the institutional rules of ICC, ICSID, PCA, the Chamber of Commerce of Lima, the Chamber of Commerce and Services of Paraguay (CAMP) as well as in ad hoc arbitration. His extensive practice encompasses arbitrations in telecommunications, distribution, mining, oil & gas, trusts, breeding, and property law, with a particular focus on construction arbitration. Since 2020, he has lectured on Contract Law and Obligations at the National University of Asuncion Law School in Paraguay. Additionally, he coaches the arbitration team of the National University of Asuncion Law School for international moot competitions.
Luis Serrano graduated with honors from the National University of Asuncion in Paraguay. Between 2019 and 2023, he worked with a leading Law Firm in Paraguay. In 2024, he completed the MIDS L.L.M., a specialized and well-recognized program in international dispute settlement co-organized by the Geneva Graduate Institute and the University of Geneva. He is a member of several arbitration associations including the Swiss VYAP (Very Young Arbitration Practitioners), Paraguay VYAP, and Arbitraje Alumni.
